ABOUT ARMADALE SHED
ARMADALE SHED
A Shed is a community run and managed space, in which people undertake activities they want to. The idea of Sheds started in Australia and in the past few years, the idea has spread throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Officially opened in June 2016, the Armadale Shed was initially funded through the generous contributions of Castle Rock Edinvar (now known as Places for People Scotland), West Lothian Council, the Scottish Government and the Big Lottery Fund.
The Shed is now run by the Shedders as a charitable organisation, registered with OSCR, the Scottish Charity Regulator.
Who is it for?
Simply put, the Shed is for everyone! We are aimed at people and groups in West Lothian and the surrounding areas with existing hobbies and those wishing to try something new.
The Shed is a great place to socialise so, if you’re not sure about the activities, come in to see us for a cuppa and a chat.
What do you do?
There are a range of of different activities. You can try your hand at wood working and wood turning.
Do you have a new idea for an activity? Share it!
We enjoy expanding our skills in the Shed so if there is something new you'd like to try, just let us know.
